Seven IT Service Partners Launch Global Workspace Alliance to Offer Worldwide Delivery Capabilities, Unified Shared Services Model and Single-Source Cost Efficiencies

DALLAS—March 25, 2009—CompuCom Systems, Inc., a leading IT outsourcing company, today announced that is has been named as a founding member of the newly launched Global Workspace Alliance, an international partner network spanning the European, American and Asian markets. As the only participating U.S.-based IT services provider, CompuCom, in cooperation with six other partner companies, is chartered with establishing a new force in global outsourcing by extending remote and on-site delivery capabilities and serving as a singular IT support source for global organizations. The seven founding members of the Alliance include: APX Synstar, CompuCom, Getronics, Getronics Middle East, NTT Data, ServiceOne Getronics and TecnoCom.

The new Global Workspace Alliance members will unite together in providing consistent, global IT support backed by shared processes, methods and tools to foster a strong local presence, robust international governance and shared service innovation. By engaging with any member of the Alliance, such as CompuCom, global organizations will plug into an extended service network through a single point-of-contact. This approach differs fundamentally from locally sub-contracted resources used traditionally in many international IT service contracts. All Alliance members will work together to anticipate service requirements and to plan and manage resources accordingly. As a result, clients benefit from simplified contract management, effective service evolution and responsive requirement scaling.

“As a founding member of the new Global Workspace Alliance network, the added capabilities and unified expertise that will be gained from the combination of the seven companies will be a very positive step forward for CompuCom in 2009 and beyond,” said Jim Dixon, Chief Executive Officer of CompuCom. “The expanded global footprint and bolstered IT services capabilities position CompuCom as an ideal alternative to Tier-One outsourcing providers on a worldwide scale.”

The Global Workspace Alliance will also drive business growth across its membership through shared marketing, business development and sales activity. The Alliance allows each of the members to offer their clients an assured international presence without the expense of maintaining multiple subsidiary operations around the globe which affords cost advantages to organizations.

In 2008, CompuCom acquired the North American operations of Getronics. As part of the transaction, CompuCom and Getronics also signed a reciprocal global services partner agreement that allows each company to leverage their combined global capabilities. The Global Workspace Alliance has grown out of the international service partner network originally developed by Getronics, and will leverage and expand further the tools, methodologies and governance which made it a success.
