Citrix Licensing Programs provide clients with greater flexibility in licensing, purchasing, installing, and maintaining Citrix application serving software solutions. Citrix offers several licensing programs to meet a variety of deployment and purchasing needs.
Citrix licensing programs benefit clients with four hundred or more concurrent user connections by:
- Shortening proposal and approval time
- Providing flexible licensing and pricing options
- Enabling easier installation and management of Citrix products
- Reducing the need for ongoing cost justification and internal purchase order processing
- Allowing customers to better forecast, plan, and implement Citrix software solutions
Open Licensing ProgramThis program provides clients with volume discounts and simple access to electronic product licenses through the use of a points-based system and four corporate discount levels. This program is an easy-to-administer and cost-effective way for customers to license Citrix application serving software for medium to large deployments through Citrix Solutions Network™ (CSN) members. The Open Licensing Program follows a transaction-based model with four corporate levels of discounts, allowing customers to combine points across all selected products and services in order to establish their corporate discount level. Throughout the one-year term of the agreement, additional orders can be placed at the same discount level by the customer organization or any customer affiliate. This model is easy to administer and works well for all types of companies, centralized or decentralized.
The Citrix Services Portfolio can be added to an Open Licensing Program purchase order in order to account for additional points. The Citrix Services Portfolio includes a comprehensive collection of Citrix technology services designed to meet the demanding needs of any customer. These services enhance customer IT investments through Preferred Support Services, Citrix Consulting Services, and Citrix training and certification.
Products purchased under the Open Licensing Program also include Subscription Advantage for all applicable products. Subscription Advantage provides customers with a convenient way to keep their Citrix software current and maximize their server-based computing investments. Subscribers are eligible to receive software upgrades, enhancements, and maintenance releases that become available during the term of their subscription within a product family, plus other technical resources, such as Service Pack Notifier e-mails and Solution Tools. Subscription Advantage is for a one-year term.
Flex Licensing Program (Flex) The Flex Licensing Program is designed for large national, multinational, and Flex-size customers deploying a significant volume of Citrix product. This program provides great cost savings, easier administration, convenient licensing, and flexible purchasing to customers making a long-term investment in Citrix software solutions. This program offers a variety of purchasing and licensing options and is available through Flex Licensing Providers. The customer discount and pricing are determined by a total two-year customer points forecast based on the products and services required. The more points the customer forecasts and the more the upfront purchase, the higher the discount rate that can be applied against each purchase order. For entry into the Citrix Licensing Program, the minimum two-year forecast is twenty thousand points. An initial purchase is required for 20% of the total points forecasted.
The Citrix Services Portfolio can be included as part of the Flex Licensing Program or can be added separately. The Citrix Services Portfolio includes a comprehensive collection of Citrix Technology Services designed to meet the demanding needs of any customer. These services enhance customer IT investments through Preferred Support Services, Citrix Consulting Services, and Citrix training and certification.
Products purchased under the Flex Licensing Program also include Subscription Advantage for all applicable products. Academic Entity Licensing Program As part of the Citrix Solutions in Education Program, Citrix now offers an education licensing option that provides academic entities with a volume discount off the suggested retail price (SRP) of qualified Citrix products. This unique "Level E" education discount option is available through the Citrix Open Licensing Program. Schools and their academic affiliates (organized and operated exclusively for educational purposes) are eligible for the program. Eligible primary/secondary and higher education institutions may take advantage of the Level E discount for all versions of the Citrix MetaFrame(TM) server software products, user license packs, upgrades, migrations, and management service products. Specific qualified products may vary by geographic region. The Level E volume licensing option gives education entities implementing Citrix application server software solutions greater flexibility in licensing and simplified installation through the purchase of license-only software. It also reduces the need for ongoing cost justification and internal purchase order processing. The program requires a minimum purchase level of two hundred CLP points, which are determined based on the mix of Citrix products in your configuration.
The CLP Level E Program for education also includes Citrix Subscription Advantage, an annually renewable agreement that provides users with a convenient way to keep their Citrix software current and maximize their application-server software computing investments. Subscribers receive automatic delivery of software upgrades, enhancements, and maintenance releases that become available during the term of their subscription within a product family, plus other technical resources, such as Hotfix Notifier e-mails and the quarterly Solution Search CD.
The education entity, district, or region places an order for Citrix application server software totaling two hundred CLP points or more with an authorized Citrix Solutions Network(TM) (CSN) member. Points are determined based on your total product configuration as provided by your authorized Citrix reseller. The education customer sends its signed Academic Entity License Agreement, purchase order, and proof of accreditation to the CSN Member. Once Citrix has processed the order, Citrix delivers electronic licenses based on individual products ordered. The customer also receives a Citrix product media kit, which includes all product CDs required for the installation.
Reorders may be made within the agreement period on the same Academic Entity License Agreement, provided that the minimum incremental order of one hundred CLP points is met.
Easy Licensing ProgramCitrix Easy Licensing was created to provide customers with greater flexibility in licensing, purchasing, installing and maintaining Citrix application serving software solutions. Easy Licensing is a basic electronic license program that enables organizations of any size to benefit from electronic licensing rather than purchasing packaged products. With faster deployment time, Easy Licensing enables easier installation and management of Citrix application serving computing products.
